How Signals are Generated
The pattern searching algorithm employed by indic8 is a multi-step process. Patterns are detected, verified, validated and carefully selected to maximize chances of successful outcome. Scroll to the bottom of this page for the animated video description of the process:
The process can be logically divided into 2 steps: Pattern Search and Pattern Selection. Pattern Searcher looks for all possible patterns, while Pattern Validator selects the best of all found.

Pattern Searcher
At the first step, the raw price data is processed and all swing points within reasonable distance from the current time are found.

Next, the algorithm tries each of the points to fit as a starting point of a pattern.

After that, the algorithm tries the rest of the swing points to fit a possible pattern. If they fit the pattern is recorded.

The process is repeated until all patterns are identified and recorded. Then the Pattern Validator takes over and starts analysing them.
Pattern Validator
- General price trend
- Time of the day/week/month
- Presence of major support/resistance levels
- Pattern configuration and parameters
- Past performance of the pattern on the symbol
As final step, the system checks manually set exclusions (i.e. when major news release may affect trading) and in certain cases asks for manual confirmation from designated trader.
Never trade alone again
